Displays the vertical mouse coordinate corresponding to the amplitude in the waveform. Dashes appear when the mouse is not over a waveform.
Displays the current mouse horizontal coordinate. Dashes show when you are not over an active sound editing window.
Confusing, aint it.
Displays the leftmost point of the current selection.
Displays the size of the current selection.
Displays the rightmost coordinate of the current selection. Dashes indicates that nothing is selected.
Doesn't do anything.
To change the volume, drag the slider left for louder and right for softer.
This area shows how much recording time is available.
This area shows the last recording time.
This area shows how much disk space is being used during recording.
Click here to pause or resume recording or playback.
Click here to stop rcording or playback.
To play the current selection, click here. Plays the whole sound if nothing is selected.
This area displays the Recording Level. Click on the button to the left to enable.
Click here to turn on or off the Recording Level Meter.
Click here to start or stop recording.
Closes the Selection floating palette.
Opens a floating palette with indicators that show what the current selections are.
Closes the recording and playback floating palette.
Opens a floating palette with buttons to control recording and playback.
Windows menu
Use this menu to show or hide the two floating palettes or to switch to another sound window.
This is the currently active window.
Makes this window the active window.
Redraws the tracks changing the zoom settings so that all the sounds in all the tracks are shown, if possible.
Displays a window where you can change the type of spectral plot that will be displayed in the sound editing window immediately below it.
Displays a dialog box where you can change the units shown in the horizontal and vertical rulers.
Displays a dialog box where you can select various waveform drawing options. Not available now because no sound editing window is active.
Displays a dialog box where you can set lines vs dots waveform drawing, and whether the rulers and track and label bars are showing.
Both waveforms and spectrums are currently being drawn in each track. To change, select Waveform or Spectrum.
Plots waveforms and spectrums in every track. Not available now because no sound editing window is currently active.
Draws a waveform in the top half of each track and plots a graph of time vs frequencies in the bottom half.
